Speak Up Kids: ADHD

Nearly 50 percent of kids with ADHD are never treated. It’s real, it’s common and it’s treatable. During National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, May 6-12, the Child Mind Institute (www.childmind.org) Speak Up for Kids public education program is addressing the stigma, lack of awareness, and misinformation that prevent so many children from getting treatments that can change their lives. Though 15 million children in the United States have psychiatric and learning disorders, very few of them will be identified and get the help they need. We hope you’ll join us and Speak Up for Kids—to let the world know that silence and shame are not options. Let your voice be heard, or find a talk in your area, here www.childmind.org We’re also hosting live events online. www.facebook.com Twitter: @ChildMindDotOrg
