Parents can ask their physician what are the signs of overmedication? Once the parents start to see these signs, they need to discuss titration or lowering the dosage of medications with their physician. Parents will have to work together with all the professionals to help coordinate treatment efforts. What is ADHD? What Causes ADHD in Children?

www.AboutADHDStLouis.com 314-984-8412 ADHD St. Louis What is ADHD? What Causes ADHD in Children or Adults? What kind of testing for ADHD is available? What is ADHD treatment? Some of the more common questions people ask Dr. Collins are related to causes for ADHD in children and adults and what can be done to help those who have symptoms of ADHD but have not been diagnosed with the disorder. Working with a professional to obtain testing for ADHD is always a good place to start. This will help you understand what is ADHD and possible treatments for ADHD. Dr. Collins says ADHD is a neurological problem that’s difficult to diagnose because symptoms are variable and the cause is not singular. Research has shown that genetics is a factor, diet is a concern, constant overstimulation from TV and video games all play a part in the development of ADHD. From research we also know five to sixteen percent of all children from 1st to 12th grade have been diagnosed with ADHD. Five percent of adults have also received an ADHD diagnosis. By a ratio of three to one, boys are affected with ADHD more than girls. Geographically, ADHD is more prevalent on the east coast than on the west coast. Of the children who do have ADHD, 60 to 70 percent of them also have anxiety, depression, ODD, borderline personality disorder, mood problems, OCD, or bi-polar disorder. This makes it extremely complex and difficult for most therapists, physicians or counselors to be definite in their diagnoses. In fact

Mom Refuses Ritalin and Heals Her ADHD Autism Kids With Natural Medicine

www.thenaturalguide.com – (Video by Larry Cook) Deborah Merlin raised prematurely born twin sons diagnosed with a host of medical problems and neurological challenges. She refused to put her children on Ritalin or other stimulant medications while at the same time the other conventional medicine treatments and therapies she tried resulted in multiple failures. After seven years of determined research she finally found success with dietary change, supplements and natural medicine therapies prescribed by an integrative medical doctor. Her integrative medical doctor ordered an amino acid panel and found that one of her sons was deficient in several amino acids. Amino acids are the building blocks of neurotransmitters in the brain. Shortly after her son started on the amino acid supplements, his facial tics stopped, his violent behavior went away, his seizures disappeared, he became happier, and remarkably, he went from failing in school to getting A’s and B’s in school. How do you determine if you have attention deficit disorder?

My mom has always joked that she has ADD because she can never stay on topic and will even stop in the middle of a sentence and not finishing it, and will suddenly forget what she was talking about and start talking about something else. I can never sit still in class and I’m really fidgety. If I write anything or have long conversations I get really off topic and i’m constantly told by my friends that I’m soooo random and i can’t help it. my brother also thinks i have add. do i?
